Victim Assistance Coordinator Wanda Ivicic Secures Award For Her Advocating Work
Professional Victim Assistance Coordinator Award recognizes her work in assisting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and DWI.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Wanda Ivicic, Williamson County Attorney's Office chief victim assistance coordinator, was bestowed with the Professional Victim Assistance Coordinator Award — one of only three victim assistants so honored in all of Texas.
The award was given by Texas District and County Attorney's Association, officials at the county said. It is a recognition of professional in the field, awarded to individuals who have provided a minimum of three years direct victim service for a prosecutor's office and successfully completed at least 45 hours of approved victim services training, according to Williamson County officials.
All recipients must complete 45 hours of continuing legal training each year to maintain their status as a Professional Victim Assistance Coordinator to secure the award, officials noted.

Having served in the Williamson County Attorney's Office for more than a dozen years, Ivicic has successfully pursued a voluntary program for Texas prosecutor offices designed to recognize professionalism in prosecutor-based victim assistance, county officials said. She has served as a victim assistance coordinator for 11 years, working to support victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and DWI navigate the criminal justice system.
Ivicic also serves on the Texas District and County Attorney's Association Victim Assistance Coordinator Board as the Region 8 representative for 2015-2017 and as vice chair of the board for 2016-17.
