Water Boil Notice Issued For Three Leander Subdivisions
Boiling water before consumption is advised at Hawke's Landing, Northcreek and Westwood subdivisions.

LEANDER, TX -- City officials have issued a boil water notice is in effect for some neighborhoods to prevent contamination following a drop in water pressure.
Residents living in the Hawke’s Landing, Northcreek and Westwood subdivisions are being advised by the City of Leander to boil their water before consumption until further notice.
The boil notice stems from unanticipated repairs to the municipal water system this past Friday on RM 2243 near Dearcreek Lane, city officials wrote on their website. Those unexpected repairs caused the water pressure to fall below the required minimum of 20 psi mandated by state regulators.
