- Balancing the Three Brains - Head, Heart, and Gut: Whole Movement Center will host Balancing the Three Brains - Head, Heart, and Gut on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 9 AM - 5 PM. Attendees will explore the wisdom of the three intrinsic brains: those of the head, the heart, and the gut. Western culture tends to acknowledge and honor only the brain of the central nervous system, yet we have a complete brain—the enteric brain—in the digestive tube and an intrinsic brain in the heart. By allowing the intelligence of each of these centers to work in harmony with the others, we can expand our understanding of ourselves and of the world; re-pattern unhelpful responses to stress; and identify practices that will allow us to grow as individuals, artists, therapists, and movers.
