AUSTIN, TX — In an effort to practice social distances to avert the potential spread of a respiratory ailment called COVID-19, the Williamson County tax office closed its doors to the public on Tuesday.
The office is closed until further notice, officials said in a press advisory. Despite the closures, residents can still conduct business via mail, drop box, or online. Moreover, officials said, drive-through lanes will remain open for business at the Round Rock and Cedar Park locations. Drive-throughs are limited to property tax payments, registration renewals, and disabled parking placards, officials noted.
