WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — The county's Office of Emergency Management invites residents to participate in National Preparedness Month, which is recognized each September to promote family and community disaster and emergency planning now and throughout the year.

The 2019 theme of this year's iteration is "Prepared, Not Scared," launched at the beginning of the month. The first part of the commemoration from Sept. 1-7 covered expenditures for emergency preparedness. The second preparation phase scheduled from Sept. 8-14 is "Make a Plan to Prepare for Disasters."
