Williamson Commissioners Court Appoints Boles To Two Local Boards
Precinct 4 Commissioner tapped for Capital Area Housing Finance Corporation and Capital Area Rural Transportation System boards.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS — The Williamson County Commissioners Court appointed Precinct 4 Commissioner Russ Boles to the Capital Area Housing Finance Corp. and the Capital Area Rural Transportation System board of directors, officials said.
Commissioner Boles will be a member of the CAHFC Board of Directors effectively immediately to complete a four-year term ending Oct. 21, and will start his two-year term on the CARTS Board of Directors beginning April 1.
The Capital Area Housing Finance Corporation (CAHFC) was established in 1981 to address workforce housing needs in Central Texas. Over time they introduced new initiatives to expand their ability to provide meaningful resources and tools to first-time home buyers, developers, realtors and investors. The CAHFC provides resources to Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Llano and Williamson Counties, as well as the City of San Marcos.

The Capital Area Rural Transportation System (CARTS) provides regional transportation for the non-urbanized areas of Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Travis and Williamson counties and the San Marcos urbanized area. Board of Directors includes a member of the County Commissioners Court, or City Council in the case of the San Marcos.
