Williamson County Budget And Tax Rate Public Hearings On August 31

Williamson County form its budget for the year? Follow along this month as the budget goes from recommended to modified to approved! The Commissioners Court accepted the recommended budget from the Budget Office on August 3. At the end of the month, public hearings on the budget and tax rate will be held to officially adopt the budget.

How do you give input on the budget and tax rate? Each Tuesday, the Commissioners Court meets at 9:30 a.m. in the historic courthouse, 710 S. Main Street, in Georgetown. The meeting offers a public comment period for open comment from those who sign up ten minutes prior to the start of the meeting. In addition, the budget public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, August 31, at 10 a.m. A public hearing on the tax rate will be held during that same meeting at 10:15 a.m. To view the notice of public hearing on the tax rate, click here.
