Williamson County Commissioners Appoint County Court-At-Law Judge
Replacing retiring Judge Suzanne Brooks, Brandy Hallford has extensive judicial experience spanning a 21-year career.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — County commissioners have appointed Brandy Hallford as County Court-at-Law No. 1 judge, officials said in an advisory this week.
Hallford replaces Judge Suzanne Brooks who announced her retirement from the court in March. Hallford will begin her new role on June 4, continuing thereafter until the next general election when a successor is duly elected, officials said.
A Republican, Hallford has 21 years of experience practicing law in criminal, juvenile, family, civil, Child Protective Services cases and probate law, according to a bio provided by the county. She is a former prosecutor for Williamson County, Dallas County and the Texas Attorney General’s Office, and has resided in Williamson County for more than 20 years.

“I have dedicated a large portion of my career to representing children as their attorney,” Hallford said in a prepared statement. “I know how important child protective services cases are, and I am honored to be entrusted by the Commissioners Court with handling those cases along with the other dockets this court oversees.”
