Williamson County Commissioners Meetings To Be Live Streamed
Starting Feb. 12, live feeds of weekly gatherings to be available at county website www.wilco.org because it's the 21st century.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS — Weekly meetings of the Williamson County Commissioners Court soon will be available via live stream, officials announced Monday.
The commissioners court stages weekly meetings each Tuesday at 9:30 am. The first meeting to be offered via live feed is scheduled on Feb. 12 at the county website www.wilco.org under the Transparency tab.
Officials approved the offering at their Feb. 5 meeting. Video recordings of weekly meetings already are available each week, so adding the live feed did not incur any additional cost, commissioners reasoned. Copies of the agenda for the upcoming meeting can be found here.

It's also the 21st century — replete with technological wizardry and accessibility — County Judge Bill Gravell suggested, which stands to reason that such live streams should be offered. "It is 2019, and the opportunity to live stream the work of government is amazing,”Gravell said. “This county judge is dedicated to transparency. We invite everyone to join us Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. to watch county government in action.”
