Williamson County Deputies Bust Leander Pot Growing Operation
Arrest warrants are being obtained for 2 people in connection with the find along the 900 block of Los Vista Drive, sheriff's office says

LEANDER, TX — The Williamson County Sheriff's Office is in the process of obtaining search warrants for two people after finding a marijuana growing operation Friday at a Leander home, officials said.
In a news advisory issued Friday, the sheriff's office said investigators would be obtaining warrants for Katie Thorie, 30, and Dustin Mattsen, 31, for possession of marijuana between the amounts of four ounces and five pounds. The indoor marijuana growing operation was discovered along the 900 block of Los Vista Drive in Leander, the sheriff's office said.
A portable "grow tent" with 11 small marijuana plants and nine mature ones were found at 7 a.m. Friday inside the home, according to the news advisory. Investigators said they also found one pound of dry marijuana inside the house along with several items needed to grow hydroponic marijuana — grow lamps, electric ballasts, air filtration systems and the like.
