Williamson County Deputy Charged With Public Intoxication
The incident stemming from Saturday night led to added charges of resisting arrest with the possibility of more charges pending.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — A Williamson County Sheriff's Office deputy was arrested on Saturday after being charged with resisting arrest and public intoxication, officials said Monday.
Other charges may be pending, sheriff's officials added in a press advisory, but they are "unknown at this point."
The deputy was placed on administrative leave the night of the incident, according to sheriff's officials. Effective immediately, the deputy was placed on indefinite suspension, according to officials.

Sheriff's office officials said they would not release the name of the deputy for at least 48 hours after the incident, per their policy. "No other information and no other comments will be made on the case until more information is obtained," officials wrote.
