Williamson County Lifts Burn Ban

As if taking their cue from County Judge Dan A. Gattis, heavens opened up and dumped much rain the very day he officially lifted burn ban.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Officials lifted the burn ban for unincorporated areas of the county this week while urging caution be taken with outdoor burning activity.

By the time the storms subsided, some Central Texas areas got more than two inches of much-needed rain. But Williamson County officials still urge those lighting fires for barbecues and whatnot to exercise caution. They offered tips.
