Williamson County Looking For A Few Good Junior Deputies

Young people between the ages of nine and 14 living in the county are eligible for upcoming Junior Deputy Academy.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — The Williamson County Sheriff's Office is looking for young people between the ages of nine to 14 residing in the county and have an interest in law enforcement to participate in the Junior Deputy Academy this summer.

Prospective junior cadets will investigate mock crime scenes, collect evidence, tour the sheriff’s office and county jail, obtain Stop the Bleed training and will get hands-on experience with advanced tactical equipment and self-defense techniques. Four sessions will be offered during the summer.

Drop off times are between 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in front of the Sheriff’s Office located at: 508 Rock St., Georgetown, TX. 78626. Pick up time is 5 p.m. Each session is limited to 25 students and applications will be taken on a first come first serve basis. There is no cost for the program, but students will need to bring their lunch each day. A refillable water bottle is also recommended.
