Williamson County Offices To Close July 4, But Animal Shelter Offering Free Pet Adoptions
It's expected for government offices to close on Independence Day, but unexpected to be able to adopt a pet for free from July 1-4.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — The bad news is that county offices will be closed on July 4. The good news is that the animal shelter will offer free adoptions in the days leading up to the holiday.
In observance of the Independence Day holiday on July 4, all county offices will be closed before re-opening on July 5. Additionally, the commissioners court won't meet on Tuesday, July 4, but will resume their regular schedule on July 11 at the courtroom on July 11 at 9:30 a.m. The courtroom is located on the second floor of the historic courthouse at 710 S. Main St. in Georgetown.
Now the good news: The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter will be open on July 4, operating during regular hours from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. From July 1-4, the shelter will offer free adoptions for all of its animals.
