Williamson County Offices To Close On Veterans Day
But the animal shelter will remain open to offer FREE adoptions for those wearing red, white and blue patriotic garb.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — County offices will be closed for Veterans Day on Nov. 10, officials said.
However, the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter will be open during regular business hours on Friday from noon to 6 p.m., officials said. What's more, the shelter will be offering free adoptions for anyone wearing red, white and blue through the weekend for cats, dogs and kittens. For those not donning patriotic garb, the adoption fee is $25 and $75 for puppies.

Williamson County Veterans Service offices provide eligible veterans, dependents, and survivors direct and general support and assistance in obtaining all benefits to which they are entitled from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, state of Texas and Williamson County, officials noted.
Williamson County Veterans Services is located in the Williamson County Central Maintenance Facility, 3151 S.E. Inner Loop, Suite C, and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. A satellite office is located in Taylor at the Taylor Annex, 412 Vance Street, on the first floor and is open the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. by appointment only. They also operate a satellite office at Heroes Night Out in Cedar Park on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.,
