Williamson County Offices Closed On Labor Day
WilCo will largely shut down, but residents can adopt a pet and enjoy the splash pad one more time before it closes for the year.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Williamson County offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 in observance of Labor Day, officials said.
County offices will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, Sept. 3. The Commissioners Court will not be meeting on that date, officials added. Instead, the body's next meeting will be on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter will be open regular business hours noon to 6 p.m. on Labor Day, according to a press advisory. The shelter has Name Your Price adoptions for adult dogs and cats on Saturday, Aug. 31, and Sunday, Sept. 1.

"In honor of those who work their tails off, WCRAS is offering free pet adoptions, excluding puppies, with proof of employment on Monday, Sept. 2," officials wrote. "Just bring in a business card, employee badge, pay stub or other proof of employment."
The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is located at 1855 SE Inner Loop in Georgetown. To view adoptable animals, go topets.wilco.org.

Officials added in a splashy announcement: Williamson County’s Quarry Splash Pad will be open on Labor Day and then close for the year. The splash pad is located in the Southwest Williamson County Regional Park, 3005 C.R. 175, Leander, and is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The cost is $2 per person.
