WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — In light of September being Preparedness Month, county officials are urging residents to get involved by joining the Williamson County Medical Reserve Corps.

The corps is a team of medical, non-medical, public health, and other Williamson County-area volunteers who are interested in helping educate, prepare, and protect the ever-growing community. Volunteers assist in promoting wellness, safety, and preparedness throughout the county.

“Volunteering is a great way for residents who may be new to the area to meet their neighbors, or long-time residents that just want to give back to the community,”William Hendon, WilcoMRC Unit Leader, said in a prepared statement. “The training opportunities are also a valuable benefit for those interested in expanding their preparedness knowledge.”
