Williamson County Sheriff's Academy Now Taking Applications From Residents
It's a 20-hour program designed to give county citizens a working knowledge of sheriff's office and criminal justice system.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — The Williamson County Sheriff's Academy is now taking applications from residents interested in learning more about their local law enforcement.
The academy is a 20-hour program designed to give the citizens of Williamson County a working knowledge of the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and the criminal justice system. The primary objective of the academy is to foster community relationships and to build a better understanding between citizens and the sheriff’s office through education.
The next class will be staged each Wednesday nights for 10 weeks, with a start date of Sept. 27 and an end date of Dec. 6. Each class will meet at the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office located at 508 Rock St. in Georgetown from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Applications must be received by September 11 and hand delivered or mailed to:

Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Reside or work in Williamson County.
- Fill out an application and consent to a background check.
