Williamson County Sheriff's Office Seeks Help Finding Missing Weapons Bag (Updated)
The bag lost in the Lakeway area of Georgetown contains a Glock 21 .45 caliber weapon and ammunition, officials said.

UPDATE: A deputy's lost gun and ammunition was recovered after someone found the weapons bag and returned it to the sheriff's office. The bag was found in the middle of the road at the intersection of Lakeway Drive and Airport Road in Georgetown, Texas, officials said.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — The Williamson County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a lost weapon bag containing a police firearm and ammunition, officials said Wednesday.

The missing bag contains one Glock 21 .45 caliber handgun; three ten-round magazines; one 10-round mini-magazine; and seven 13-round magazines, officials said.
The weapon bag is believed to have fallen out of the deputy's vehicle while driving in the Williamson County Sheriff's firing range from Airport Road and the Lakeway Drive in Georgetown, Texas, officials said. It was reported missing at around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, officials added.

Sheriff Robert Chody urges whoever finds the bag to immediately call 911 to report it.
