1 COVID-19 Death, 61 New Cases Added To Montgomery County Tally

Active COVID-19 cases are down to 1,651, and hospitalizations within Montgomery County are down to 93.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX — The Montgomery County Public Health District confirmed an additional COVID-19 death and 61 new cases Friday.

Public health officials confirmed a woman in her 50s from New Caney died after testing positive for COVID-19. The woman also suffered from co-morbidities, according to MCPHD.

The new cases bring Montgomery County's total to 50,976 cases since the start of the pandemic. The number of active cases in the county dropped to 1,651, a decrease of 140 since Thursday's update.

The number of hospitalizations in Montgomery County dropped to 93, three less than Thursday, and 101 county residents are confirmed to be hospitalized after testing positive for COVID-19.
