4th Of July Weather: Holiday Forecast For Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX — Before you head to the 4th of July parade, Freedom Fest or the Red, Hot & Blue Festival, be sure to pack an umbrella before you go.

As we approach the holiday, your Independence Day festivities are no doubt confirmed. But, as most of us know, Mother Nature is fickle and could always step in and ruin the best-laid plans with a trifecta of rain, storms and cloudy skies.

Unfortunately, it looks as if that might be the case for the 4th of July weekend in Montgomery County, according to the most recent forecast for our area.

Friday's forecast is humid and mostly cloudy throughout the day with a high of 91 degrees. There is a low chance of rain, but it should be good weather for traveling if you're headed out of town for the 4th of July. Don't forget to check gas prices before you leave.

On Saturday, there is a high chance of rain, and it will again be humid and mostly cloudy throughout the day. If you're headed to Freedom Fest or The Woodlands' 4th of July parade, be sure to prepare for possible rain.

The 4th of July is likely to be rainy in Montgomery County, though the forecast calls for just light rain until the evening. Hopefully the weather will clear up for fireworks displays at night, but again, come prepared for rain. The forecast for Sunday is humid and mostly cloudy, but the high is a low-for-Texas-in-July 85 degrees.

The National Weather Service forecasts a chance of thunderstorms on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with precipitation chances between 50 and 80 percent on 4th of July.
