"It's Making People Less Safe": Houston DA Warns ICE Arrest of Witness Threatens Cases (latintimes.com) — A key shooting witness is now being held by ICE in Conroe's Montgomery Processing Center, raising alarms that immigrants across Greater Houston may fear calling police. Harris County's district attorney and local advocates warn that detaining cooperative witnesses could undermine prosecutions and public safety, even as officials dispute who tipped off ICE and how agents moved in so quickly.
