• This Houston-area school district is still missing thousands of Bluebonnet materials (star-telegram.com) — Conroe ISD is still missing about 35,500 state-issued Bluebonnet curriculum materials a month into the school year, forcing local schools to act as makeshift print shops. District leaders are pressing the state for flexibility on academic ratings and reimbursement, while Texas officials acknowledge serious failures by their printing contractor and promise changes for next year.
