Montgomery County Texas senior garden offers plots (yourconroenews.com) — Conroe residents 55 and older can claim one of nine open plots at Montgomery County's Senior Garden on Airport Parkway, where water, shared facilities, and a tight-knit community are provided for a one-time $100 fee. Regulars, including a retired Conroe High teacher, say the garden offers exercise, fresh produce, and daily friendships, and organizers are actively seeking new gardeners.
   

2. 100 Days. Zero Drownings. A Safer Summer On Lake Conroe (montgomerycountypolicereporter.com) — This summer's stepped-up patrols on Lake Conroe paid off, with zero drownings reported during the busy Memorial Day, July Fourth, and Labor Day weekends. Precinct 1 deputies conducted hundreds of safety checks, issued citations and warnings, and worked alongside the Conroe Fire Department and other agencies to keep boaters safe and better prepared on the water.
   

3. Love Fosters Hope announces 2027 Night of Hope Gala: 'Best Day Ever' (hellowoodlands.com) — A major 2027 Night of Hope Gala is coming to the Hyatt Regency in Conroe on March 6, giving locals a chance to support youth impacted by foster care. Love Fosters Hope is planning live music, auctions, and sponsorship opportunities, with proceeds funding trauma-informed camps, mentorship, and year-round programs that serve vulnerable children and teens across the region.
   

4. Conroe's Players Theatre planning for next Penguin Project show 'Seussical Jr.' (yourconroenews.com) — Families in Conroe can get involved as artists, mentors, or volunteers in The Players Theatre Company's next Penguin Project musical, Seussical Jr., with an information meeting Oct. 1 at the Owen Theatre. The free program pairs youth with special needs and peer mentors, offering weekly rehearsals, a spring performance, and a welcoming community rooted in Conroe's long-running local theatre scene.
