Back To School Drive-Thru Set For East Montgomery County
EMCID will distribute school supplies to students from pre-K through eighth grade at a drive-thru event at Randall Reed Stadium on Aug. 6.
NEW CANEY, TX — Back-to-school means buying more school supplies, and the East Montgomery County Improvement District is helping Montgomery County students get what they need this year.
EMCID is hosting its Back-To-School Drive-Thru in the Randall Reed Stadium parking lot, located at 21360 Valley Ranch Parkway in New Caney, at 5 p.m. Aug. 6. The event is being moved from its past location in the EMCID parking lot because of traffic concerns.
Students from pre-K through eighth grade can receive supplies from the drive-thru, which will end either when supplies run out or at 8 p.m. EMCID has 1,000 school supplies packs, which will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

“We had such a positive response from the parents about the drive-thru concept last year during the pandemic that many asked if we could continue the drive-thru event, which we will conduct,” said Frank McCrady, president and CEO of EMCID, in a Splendora ISD news release. “We’re also excited to offer the event prior to schools opening.”
