Body Dumped In Bryan From Stolen Hearse
Police: Hearse was stolen from McDonalds when funeral home employee left the hearse unattended.
BRYAN, TX — The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the person who stole a hearse from a McDonald’s restaurant early Friday morning, and dumped the body that was inside on the side of the road.
The incident happened at about 5:30 a.m., when a funeral home employee who was transporting a body to a local funeral home, stopped at McDonalds restaurant on State Highway 21, and left the hearse unattended. While the funeral home employee was away from the hearse, someone stole the hearse with a body inside, according to a KTRK report.

About 90 minutes later, a motorists spotted the body on the gurney sitting on the side of Dick Elliot Road, north of Bryan, according to a Houston Chronicle report.
The hearse still has not been recovered, but the body was returned to the funeral home.
