Bridgewood Farms Receives $5K Donation

Woodforest Charitable Foundation's donation will help the charity's mission to aid people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

THE WOODLANDS, TX — Bridgewood Farms recently received a $5,000 donation from the Woodforest Charitable Foundation to aid in its mission of helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The donation will be put toward general operations at the nonprofit, according to a news release.

The Woodforest Charitable Foundation, started by Woodforest National Bank in 2005, provides funding to qualifying charities with an emphasis on those that are customers of Woodforest National Bank.

Bridgewood Farms, located at 11680 Rose Road in Conroe, helps around 120 teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Montgomery County with the goal of helping them lead healthy and productive lives. Clients can train for the Special Olympics and participate in sessions on basic nutrition, money management, housekeeping, social interaction and reading specific to their needs. Bridgewood Farms also offers programs in pre-vocational training, horticulture, ceramics, creative arts, and adult continuing education.
