Plantersville Man Convicted Of Child Rape Gets Four Life Terms

CONROE, TX — A Montgomery County man who raped a 3-month old child, and filmed the entire incident will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

David Vincent Akins, 38, was sentenced to four life terms last week, without the possibility of parole on four counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Akins was arrested in March 2016 after his former landlord found sexually explicit images of children on his computer.

Investigators later learned that Akins made the still images and videos of a sexual act with an infant between 1 and 3 months old, the Associated Press reported.

During his trial, others testified that Akins had raped or sexually assaulted them when they were also small children.

Akins life terms will run consecutively.
