Conroe Couple Charged With Drug Possession, Child Endangerment

Jonathan and Jennifer Bell were arrested on Feb 2 and are charged with possession of a controlled substance and child endangerment.

CONROE, TX — A Conroe couple is facing child endangerment and narcotics possession charges after the pair created a disturbance inside an area JC Penney store on Friday afternoon.

Police were called to the store in the 3100 block of Interstate 45 south for a disturbance, and when they arrived they found 34-year old Jennifer Bell hiding in a photo studio with two of her children.

Police said she was acting scared and paranoid, and told officers she was in fear for her life.

Police officers found her husband, Jonathan Bell, 35, with the couple’s third child near the store, and after speaking with him, learned that had and his wife had been using methamphetamine.

Police searched the couple’s car and found meth inside the car, KTRK reported.

Both were arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail, and were both charged with child endangerment and possession of a controlled substance.

Jennifer Bell’s bail amount is set at $55,000, while her husband is being held without bond.

All three of the children are in CPS custody.
