Conroe PD Looking For Man Who Shot At Police Officer
A Conroe Police officerliterally dodged a bullet after a man fired at him at point-blank range during a traffic stop Tuesday morning.

CONROE,TX — Conroe Police officer is lucky to be alive after a man fired several shots at him during a traffic stop Tuesday morning.
The shooting, which was recorded on the officer’s body camera, happened at Interstate 45 and Gladstell Street shortly after 4 a.m.
Conroe police said the officer stopped the driver of a black 2005 Lexus for a defective headlight.

Investigators said that as he was walking to the drivers side window, the driver raised his arm and began shooting at the officer.

Police said the officer was able to return fire, but the man drove away.
About an hour after the shooting, police found a burning car off of Crater Hill Road in south Montgomery County, but police have not said if it is the same car.
The officer was not hurt in the exchange.
