Conroe Police Arrest Three On Theft, Narcotics Charges

Chance traffic stop in November led to discovery of cache of stolen property in Montgomery County

CONROE, TX -- Two men and a woman are facing felony charges of theft and possession if a controlled substance after a traffic stop in mid-November, led to a cache of stolen property two weeks later.

Police arrested Jason Derrick Baughman, 42; Ryan Coleman Wulfjen, 34; and Jessica Joyce, 27 on Dec. 1 after executing a search warrant 17000 block of Dogwood Drive in Conroe.

On Nov. 14, police conducted a traffic stop on a trailer that apparently had a stolen license plate, and discovered the trailer was reported stolen out of Harris County, which allegedly had been purchased from Baughman.

With the assistance of the Texas Department of Public Safety Aircraft Division, detectives flew over Baughman’s property and saw several more trailers, one of which was identified as stolen by the

During the search, detectives recovered one stolen Chevy 2500 HD truck, six stolen trailers, one stolen U-Haul Car hauler, one unidentified trailer with welder/compressor/generator, two stolen riding lawn mowers, 22 guns (two of which were reported stolen), 160 grams of methamphetamine, $3,300 in cash, computer equipment, and various other stolen items.

Baughman, Wulfjen and Joyce were arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail.

Baughman and Wulfjen remain in custody, but Joyce has since been released on bond.
