The two alarm blaze quickly consumed the building, but Conroe FD, along with assistance from the North Montgomery County, Caney Creek, and Cut and Shoot fire departments, the blaze was able to be contained.
Now, Coronoa Lourdes and her three children, who were not home when the fire started, are left to pick up the pieces just days before Christmas.

The American Red Cross is helping in that process, but it hardly replaces the loss of precious things, or the four dogs that perished in the fire.
Although fire officials don’t know what caused the fire, fire officials said the residential portion of the building was undergoing construction and was not properly permitted, and was the origin of the fire, according to a press release from the Conroe Fire Department.
However, arson investigators are still investigating to determine the actual cause of the fire.
