Father, Son Arrested For Shooting At Montgomery Neighbors House

Estranged wife hiding out at neighbors house, saw husband and oldest son pointing rifles at the home.

MONTGOMERY, TX -- A Montgomery County man, and his son were arrested after they pointed rifles at a neighbor’s house Monday morning.

Jarrod Clark, 33, and Matthew Clark, 17, were arrested without incident in the 100 block of Hall Drive North at about 9 a.m., after Clark’s estranged wife called sheriff’s deputies.

According to deputies, Clark and his estranged wife had recently separated due to reports of domestic abuse. (Sign up for Patch’s daily newsletter for your neighborhood.)

Clark’s estranged wife had taken the couple’s two younger children and was staying with a neighbor.

At about 9 a.m., she noticed her husband and son standing outside pointing rifles at the house where she and the younger children were hiding.

The woman told deputies that she heard four gunshots while she was waiting on sheriff’s deputies to arrive.

Deputies at the scene also heard gunshots.

Both men were taken to the Montgomery County Jail.

Matthew Clark, who was charged with deadly conduct, was later released.

Jarrod Clark remains in jail, and is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and deadly conduct-discharging a firearm.

He is being held without bond.
