1. A man in his 80s was the second person to contract West Nile virus in Montgomery County in 2021, and the county health department reported his death, the first from the virus in the county this year. (KHOU.com)
2. After two straight reports of lowering active cases of COVID-19 in Montgomery County, the county Public Health District announced an increase in active cases Wednesday. There are 12,944 active cases in the county, which is still above the highs set during the last wave in January. (Woodlands Online)
