Ho-Ho-Ho Y'all, It's Christmas Time In Tomball

Tomball Christmas events kick off on Nov. 18 and run through Dec. 31

TOMBALL, TX — It's Ho-Ho-Ho time in Tomball, and the Christmas spirit will be contagious in 2017.

Candy-caned floats willbe on the streets, and high school marching bands will be high stepping, amid German oom-pah tunes and traditional Christmas fun.

The City of Tomball will be filled with holiday cheer beginning Saturday, Nov. 18, and you don't want to miss any of it.

More than 50 ornamental lamp posts will again be decked out for the holidays as the City stages its 5th annual Downtown Holiday Lamp Post Stroll beginning Saturday, Nov.18.

Designed and created by local merchants and organizations, the lamp posts on Main, Market, Commerce, North Elm and North Walnut Streets will be decorated through Dec. 31.

The Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce presents its 52nd Annual Tomball Holiday Parade beginning at 10 am on Saturday, Nov. 18.

The two hour extravaganza on Main Street is themed “Texas Strong: Honoring Harvey’s Heroes” and will celebrate first responders, organizations, volunteers, families, and friends that were heroes during and after the hurricane as they helped and supported the community. Tomball’s annual German Christmas Market kicks off at 6 pm on Friday, Dec. 8, for three days of music, shopping, food and fun on Market Street in downtown Tomball.

Shop for holiday gifts from more than 150 vendors while munching on traditional brats, and potato pancakes and sipping Bavarian brew.

Admission, parking and shuttle service from Tomball Regional Hospital lots are free.

Festival hours are: 6 - 10 pm on Friday, 10 am -10 pm on Saturday, and 10 am – 6 pm on Sunday. Visit tomballgermanchristmasmarket.com.

The Tomball Museum Center on North Pine Street in Old Tomball comes alive with Christmas fun on Dec. 8 and 9 during its annual Candlelight Tour.

Walk through the restored and decorated buildings, listen to choirs singing Christmas carols in the farm museum and church, and experience the holiday as it was celebrated 100 years ago. Doors are open from 6 – 9 pm each night. Call (281) 255-2148.

Christmas on Commerce is the City of Tomball’s traditional holiday event with school choirs, vendors, kids zone, storytelling, Santa’s workshop and free photos with Mr. & Mrs. Claus. Staged on Commerce Street in downtown Tomball from noon to 4 pm, the festival allows visitors to easily shop event area stores and restaurants as well as those along Main.
