Houston Couple Charged With Capital Murder In Huntsville Woman’s Death
Thomas Owens and Michal Robinson were arrested and charged in the capital murder of Jackie Fails in Huntsville.

HUNTSVILLE, TX — A Houston couple are facing capital murder charges in the brutal murder of a 67-year old Huntsville woman Friday night.
Police arrested 47-year old Thomas Owens and 42-year old Michal Robinson in Montgomery County in separate incidents on Saturday and Sunday and charged them with the death of Jackie Fails on on May 5.

The Walker County Sheriff’s Office received a call to Fails’ home in the 2300 block of FM 247 shortly before 11 p.m. for a burglary in progress.
Deputies said when they got to the home, they found Fails body inside.

Investigators have not indicated how Fails, who was retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, was murdered.

Owens and Robinson are being held in the Walker County Jail, in lieu of $100,000 bond.
