Houston Man Charged With Kidnapping, Assault After Shooting Woman With Stun Gun

CONROE, TX — A Houston was arrested at his home after he allegedly used a stun gun on a woman at Klein Memorial Cemetery on Friday and tried to tie her up with zip ties, police said.

Charles Michael Glaze, 53, was arrested Monday at his home at 9202 Sweetbrush Drive in Houston and is charged with aggravated assault and aggravated kidnapping.

The incident happened Friday inside the Klein Memorial Cemetery in the 32500 block of Texas 249 in Tomball. (Want to get daily updates about traffic news and other events going on in your area? Sign up for the free Houston Patch morning newsletter.)

Investigators said the woman was visiting her son’s gravesite, when Glaze allegedly shocked her with a stun gun.

The woman said she turned around and Glaze pointed a gun and her and tied her with zip ties and gagged her with a necktie, KPRC reported.

The woman was able to fight Glaze off, and ran through the cemetery to a Magnolia Volunteer Fire Station for help, the Houston Chronicle reported.

During the investigation, investigators learned that a similar attack happened on Mother’s Day, and that the intended victim was able to avoid Glaze but took a photograph of his red Ford F-150 pickup as he drove away.

Investigators were able to track the pickup through his license plate number to Glaze.

He was arrested and identifed by both women through a line up.

Glaze is being held in the Montgomery County Jail, and his bond is set at $250,000.
