Lake Conroe Drowning Victims Recovered Tuesday
The couple's bodies were recovered after a five-day search by Texas Parks and Montgomery Co. Precinct 1 Constable's Office officials.
CONROE, TX — The bodies of the couple who drowned in Lake Conroe on Friday have been recovered, according to a post on the Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable's Facebook page.
The victims, whose names have not been released, first went missing Friday, and a joint search effort between the Precinct 1 Constable's Office and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department officials went on for most of five days.
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department spokesperson Megan Radke said that an autopsy was ordered for both victims, according to the Conroe Courier.

The Precinct 1 Constable's Office offered condolences in its Facebook post along with a plea for safe boating practices.
"Constable (Philip) Cash reminds everyone to be sensible, be safe and wear a life jacket when you’re in or around the water," the post stated.
