LCS-Tomball To Host Small Business Recovery Workshop

LSC-Tomball will hot the Harvey recovery workshop on Nov. 9

HOUSTON – Houston area small businesses were among the hardest hit when Hurricane Harvey impacted the Gulf Coast in August.

Many of those small businesses are still picking up the pieces, nearly three months later.

The Lone Star College-Small Business Development Center and the Small Business Administration Houston District Office are teaming up to help those small businesses will be hosting a workshop next week in Tomball.

“There are a variety of programs and services available to small-business owners,” said Miguel Lopez, LSC-SBDC executive director. “Understanding what they are and how to access them is the first step toward getting assistance.”

The workshop takes place Thursday, Nov. 9, from 1 – 3 p.m. at the LSC-Tomball Community Library. Click here to register.

“This event is for businesses who are just getting started or an existing business ready to expand,” said Lopez. “The workshop will discuss how SBA loan programs work and how resource partners, SBDC, Women’s Business Centers and SCORE can also help.”
