Local Races Tame Compared to Some in Houston Area

Woodlands voters driven by fear to the polls, which many county wide races are unopposed

CONROE, TX -- While the contentious race to become the next
president of the United States would be enough to drive voters to the
polls in most cases, the race for those seeking a seat on The Woodlands
Township Board of Directors helped drive local voters to the ballot box
for the early voting season.

Some voters in this north Houston community were driven by fear
after receiving mailers or seeing advertisements from a non-profit
group, known as The Woodlands Concerned Taxpayers,
which claimed the board of directors was pushing for incorporation of
the Woodlands well before 2057, which tye said would derive taxes up by
about 70 percent.

The same group expressed support for a number of candidates, that
include Mike Bass (Position 2), Amy Lampman (Position 1), Stuart
Schroeder (Position 3) and Chris Grice (Position 4).

(Position 4) and Brian Boniface (Position 2).
