Lone Star College to Hold Ribbon Cutting and Cookout

Conroe, TX -- Lone Star College's Conroe Center will officially open its new, state-of-the-art workforce training expansion facility on January 19.

Who: Stephen C. Head, Ph.D., LSC chancellor, Dr. Alton Smith, chair of the LSC Board of Trustees, Dr. Rebecca Riley, president of LSC-Montgomery, Mayor Toby Powell, City of Conroe, Mr. Todd Stephens, district director, representing U.S. Rep. Kevin Brady.

What: Ribbon Cutting and Cookout: Lone Star College-Conroe Center will officially open its new, state-of-the-art workforce training expansion facility. This expansion allows 1,000 students each semester to obtain skills needed in the workforce, including automotive, machining and welding technologies.

When: Thursday, Jan. 19, at 2:30 p.m.

Why: Join us for brief remarks and a presentation, tours and demonstrations in the new facility led by current students, and a community cookout (hamburgers/hot dogs).
