Magnolia Man Allegedly Shoots Step-Brother To Death
Family said shooter threatened them with a gun after shooting his step-brother to death.

MAGNOLIA, TX -- A 29-year old man is behind bars, accused of killing his step-brother on Monday afternoon.
Investigators said that the victim’s father called police at about 3:30 p.m. and said his son had been shot several times by his step-brother.
Witnesses told investigators that Nelson Segovia-Amaya, 29, came into the home in the 27000 block of Aberdeen Drive, walked into the bedroom quietly and shot his step-brother several times.

Witnesses told investigators that they heard several gunshots and that Segovia-Amaya came out of the room and walked out the backdoor, threatening to shoot them if they were in his way before driving away in a green pickup.
Oscar Salazar, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Department of Public Safety Trooper caught up with Segovia-Amaya at an Exxon station in the 500 block of FM 1488 in Magnolia, deputies said.
Segovia-Amaya is being held without bond in the Montgomery County Jail on murder charges, and charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The shooting is under investigation.
