Man Dies After Diving From Lake Conroe Dock
Victim was diving from dock into six feet of water when he momentarily resurfaced and went back under: Officials

WILLIS, TX — A 43-year old man died Monday evening while diving off a dock at Lake Conroe into six feet of water, officials said.
Officials with the Montgomery County Precinct 1 Lake Patrol were dispatched at about 5:30 p.m. to the FM 830 boat ramp after receiving a 911 call that a man had jumped in the lake and hadn’t resurfaced.

Officials said the man was diving in about six feet of water when he momentarily resurfaced, and went back under.
Officials searched the murky waters with sonar shortly after arriving at the scene, and located the man’s body, which was recovered about an hour later, KHOU reported.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.
Officials have not indicated if alcohol was involved.
