Man Dies In Boating Accident On Lake Conroe

CONROE, TX — A 50-year old man was killed early Friday when he was thrown from a boat that crashed on Lake Conroe.

The accident was reported to at about 1 a.m.near Diamondhead, according to officials from Texas Parks and Wildlife. (Want to get daily updates about traffic news and other events going on in your area? Sign up for the free Houston Patch morning newsletter.)

Officials said three people were onboard the boat , when it crashed and threw the man from the boat, according to a KPRC report.

Officials believe the man suffered a cardiac arrest when he was thrown from the boat, KTRK reported.

He was taken to Conroe Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators have not said if anyone else was injured in the crash.

The accident is being investigated by Texas Parks and Wildlife.
