Man’s Body Is Found In Lake Livingston

The body is believed to be Glenn Swanner, who disappeared with his wife Wendy, on July 2. Wendy Swanner's body was found on July 3.

LIVINGSTON, TX — Officials recovered the body of a Brazoria County man in Lake Livingston a day after his wife’s body was found.

The body that is believed to be Glenn Swanner was discovered by a fisherman at about 7 a.m., Tuesday, a day after a person on a jetski found the body of Wendy Swanner.

The mystery began on July 2, when the Swanner’s yellow deck boat was found unattended and rocking along the shore in the 100 block of Tigerville Road, KPRC reported.

Tim Surratt, who has a home on the lake, discovered the boat on the shore of his property and called 911, KTRK reported.

Officials said the Swanner’s cellphones and identification were still on the boat, along with life jackets.

Polk County officials launched their search for the couple, and Wendy Swanners body was found the next day, and positively identified by clothing and jewelry on the body, by her father.

The body believed to be Glenn Swanner has not been positively identified, officials said.

Autopsy results on both bodies are pending.
