Montgomery Co. Approaching 150K Fully Vaccinated Residents
According to DSHS, just under 32 percent of eligible Montgomery County residents have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX — Montgomery County is nearing a threshold of 150,000 fully vaccinated residents, the Montgomery County Public Health District announced Monday.
According to the Texas Department of State Health Services, 149,399 out of 467,232 eligible residents age 16 and older in Montgomery County have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. That comes out to a vaccination rate of 31.98 percent, roughly 7 percent below the state mark of 39.13 percent of Texans age 16 and older fully vaccinated.
Over 8.77 million Texans have been fully vaccinated.

MCPHD also announced the death of a Kingwood woman in her 50s with COVID-19. She also had co-morbidities in addition to the virus. Her death brings the Montgomery County total to 297.
There have been 53,251 total cases of COVID-19 in Montgomery County, an increase of 192 since Friday, and there are 1,477 active cases. MCPHD reported an increase of 86 active cases since Friday.
