Montgomery County Couple Face Charges In Pasadena Man’s Murder
Wendy Lynn Johnson is charged with murder, William Allen Batchelor is charged with tampering with evidence, felon in possession of a firearm

CONROE, TX -- A Montgomery County couple were arrested and face multiple charges in the shooting death of a Pasadena man Monday.
Wendy Lynn Johnson, 39, is charged with murder in the April 24 shooting death of 37-year-old John Wesley Wofford.
Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were called at about 10:15 p.m. to a home in the 17000 block of Porter Lane in Porter for a shooting.

Deputies found Wofford shot once in the chest.

Investigators learned that Johnson, and a man, identified as William Allen Batchelor, 54, had fled the area after the shooting.
The next day, investigators received a call that Johnson had details about the shooting.
Deputies arrested Batchelor and Johnson a short time later.
Batchelor was charged with tampering with evidence and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and is being held without bond.
Johnson is charged with murder and her bond is set at $250,000.
