Montgomery County Judges Advises Residents To Prepare Now For TS Cindy

CONROE, TX— Montgomery County Judge Craig Doyal is advising residents to start their preparations now as Tropical Storm Cindy continues it’s path north to the Texas coast.

In a press release issued Tuesday, Doyal advised residents to ensure they had the supplies they needed and were equipped to deal with any loss of power, should they be impacted by the storm. “Our office of Emergency Management is monitoring the system in the Gulf of Mexico and will be helping lead any recovery efforts necessary if Montgomery County is impacted by this storm system,” Doyal said.

Hurricane season, which began June 1 and continues through Nov. 30, has already seen three named storms emerge, with two of those forming in the Gulf of Mexico this week.

Tropical Storm Bret is moving slowly through the eastern Caribbean and is projected to impact central Mexico, while Tropical Storm Cindy is churning in the Gulf of Mexico and is projected to make landfall in Texas late Wednesday.
