Softball Coach Charged With Child Sexual Assault

Juan "Coach Manny" Corona is in the Montgomery County Jail, charged with three counts of sexually assaulting a child.

CONROE, TX — A Montgomery County man who coached softball in the community for 10 years is facing charges sexually assault of a child.

Juan Manuel Corona aka “Coach Manny,” 44, is charged with three counts of sexual assault of a child and is being in the Montgomery County Jail with his bond set at $300,000.

Corona was arrested on Jan. 3 at his home after a 14-year old student of his made an outcry to investigators.

Corona taught softball to kids for 17 years in The Woodlands.

Investigators said Corona gave private lessons at the South Montgomery County Softball League located off Pruitt Road.

During those private lessons, investigators alleged that Corona assaulted his students during these private lessons, and then forced them to keep quiet with threats of harm or not playing, KTRK reported.

Officials believe other children may have been harmed and are asking parents to speak with their children who may have had contact with Corona.
