Veterans Day Events Scheduled for Conroe, Montgomery County

CONROE, TX -- Several events are planned in Conroe and Montgomery County to honor military veterans today and this weekend.

The Woodlands Township Veterans Day Tribute is from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday at Town Green Park, located at 2099 Lake Robbins Drive in The Woodlands.

There will be a presentation of colors and music, and a keynote address from Brig. Gen. Constance McNabb.

Attendees can also bring items for a care package drop that will be set up at the event.

On Saturday, Mercedes Benz of the Woodlands invites area veterans and their families to the 2nd Annual Veteran's Day Breakfast, at 16917 Interstate 45 South in Conroe from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The event will begin at 9:15 with welcoming remarks by dealership co-owner and General Manager Bob Milner, followed by a flag ceremony presented by the Conroe High School JROTC at 9:30 a.m., with remarks from Victoria Glover, Commander, American Legion Post 305, and Mark Keough, Texas State Representative.
